Kevin Smith Retells The Entire Dark Knight Rises Story

In the world of Geekdom, there is one guy who's been able to be both trendsetter and confidant. Director Kevin Smith has been able to bridge the gap between being a prolific indie director and ultimate fan.

What started as simple Q&A sessions for his movies, quickly turned into an almost stand-up routine, in which he released three DVD's filled with his stories from Hollywood. He, along with his fellow producer, Scott Mosier, then snowballed that aspect of his celebrity into a series of podcasts on his Smodcast Network.

Smith has not been coy about his anticipation for The Dark Knight Rises, and anyone who subscribes to his podcast knew that as soon as Batman's opening weekend came to a close, Smith would take to the internet airwaves to relay his take on the film and trilogy as a whole.

And, boy did he ever. Spread out over he course of two different podcasts (Fatman On Batman & Smodcast), Smith describes both the film's achievements and faults in an epic 3-hour chat-fest.

Below is a great listen for both fans and critics of The Dark Knight Rises. Smith's Smod partner, Scott Mosier, hadn't seen the film and actually wanted it spoiled for him. So, he lamented and let Smith basically retell the entire film to him, in his words, giving his impressions on the film as he goes.
